    2018/19 DF250SS recommended octane gas

What grade of gas should I run in this motor at about 900 foot of elevation? Thx K

You'd be fine running 87 octane gas. I occasionally run 89 octane since one of the marinas has it on the river and it's ethanol free, but I can't tell any difference in performance between the two.

I've had my 250SS for two years now and no issues yet.

I changed from a Detwiler jackplate to an 8" Atlas. Currently running a 4 blade 29 Suzuki and have also run a 4 blade 28 Suzuki labeled prop both have worked well. I have not had the opportunity to open it up since I have completed break in fastest best I've seen so far out of it is 71mph with the 28 with a bit of throttle to go. I have to do a bit of relearning how to drive my boat again. I have found it remarkable how much different it was than the ole etech.

The prop's I have available is currently holding me back on top end performance.

Right now with the 29 4 blade Suzuki exhaust thru hub prop I'm topping out @ 71 mph @ 6200 RPM I got about the same out of my 28 4 blade exhaust over and thru prop. When I get a chance I am going to find the proper hub kit and hardware I will test out my 27 3 blade Fury to see what that does.

Overall though I am very satisfied with everything.
