08 puma ftd bilge pump wiring

2 pumps
2 brown wires
1 brown white tracer
3 black
What is the brown /white for? If i have 1 pump hooked up for manual ,works fine. When adding in the auto float to the 2nd pump, with switch now in auto, checking the brown white for continuity with test light it will cause the manual pump to run?? Am I getting feed back thru a bad switch ?? Wiring diagram ?

your test ight is acting as a ground when the circuit is completed. That is why the test light is being lit.

Bass Cat is Auto and Manual on BOTH pumps not one, and the white stripe is the Auto bilge float. That should have some low voltage though no amperage.
