My 2001, mercury 225 EFI gave me some issues
my boat would wallow up on plane then a cylinder kicked in and it ran fine
i changed the plugs but store only had NGK
it ran great, last day of the tournament I started motor and it idled good
gave it gas it died
im thinking I have a coil pack issue
don't think so

My mechanic found a micro screen was dirty in the fuel system
electric fuel pump pressure was good
fuel pump on block was good, put new diaphragm in it as it was original
Had broken breaker on power to console, replaced
replaced fuel line also
runs good now!
