    Bullet bow mounted electronics

Does anyone have pictures of their bow/console mounted electronics that they wouldn’t mind sharing? I’ve got a new boat coming in and im trying to decide on what size I think will fit best and what mounting areas look best. I’d like to go with 12’s but just think they may be too big. Contemplating 9’s instead...

Also would you guys know when the new Lowrance trolling motor will be available for purchase? The boat will be ready in about a month and I’d love to put one of those on it..

You will be fine with single 12’s. I have dual 12’s on the console and a 16 at the bow.

I have a 12 and 9 at console and 9 at bow (wish it was a 12). If I had the money, 2-12's for sure

Have a 16 at console on a balzout mount and 12 at the bow on a precision sonar mount. If you want to see them text me 606-438-6793

After only having this for a few months now I will never have the troller mounted the traditional way anymore. I was concerned about it since I never had one mounted that way before. It opens up the front for drivers view.

Even with the big screen tv up front I still can see fine.

I have a 12 mounted on the front of mine. It is tucked in beside the trolling motor. I am at work but if you will PM me your cell I will send a pic when I get home this evening. I also have a 12 on a Balzmount beside the console. It tucks in nice and does not hang over the side of the boat.

That boat is sweeeeet ! I think I am going with a 12 at console with a boat logix mount and a 12 and a 9 at the bow.

... Hey, Sleepy11... How do you like the bow mount???... I currently have BoatLogix's Universal Mount at the bow with a Helix 10. I'm looking to reduce the profile and was wondering how that mounts fishes... Does it seem to be in the way???... I've bounce a few jigs and spinner baits off the unit and kind of think by moving it in front of the trolling motor pedal will eliminate that, but kind of concerned that by it being in the middle it may get in the way... Guy's can't go wrong with BoatLogix mounts... Dan

    Dan,

My bow mount is the adjustable one that can be rotated so the graph is forward more towards the nose or backwards towards the troller pedal. I have it rotated forward towards the nose. I have to look over it for the bow switches but only one I ever use so far is the trim and it’s on the end easy to get to. I need to take a side view pic of the mount so you all can see it. Front of my pedal tray is 6 inches back from the carpet edge. I have always kept the graphs in front of the pedal on other boats and haven’t ever cussed them. Had a HDS-12 on the front of my Blazer 202 which has a short deck and nose and it wasn’t ever in the way. It was on a Balzout mount and was raised up 3-4 inches. With putting a 16 on the new boat I was worried it might be a problem but it hasn’t been a bullseye yet. I hardly ever fish directly off the nose of the boat anyways. If you are using a helix 10 up front then you definitely wouldn’t have a problem with it being in the way.
