    Mid-Season Detail of Boat

    This week I have been doing my usual midseason boat cleaning detail. This is the best my boat has looked in the last 8 years and I just wanted to give a shout out to the members of this board for sharing their ideas.

    Here is the program I followed:

    1. Collinite 920 cleaner followed by Collinite 925 wax. I know there is a lot of good products out there but this one really makes my boat shine. Recommended.

    2. Apply cleaner and wax with a Porter Cable random orbital polisher. Highly Recommended.

    3. Vacuum carpet with corded Dirt Devil. Recommended.

    4. Clean carpet with Bissell Green Machine. This thing is awesome and a special shout out to the member who first posted about this machine. Very Highly Recommended.

    5. Wipe down all upholstery, rub rail, step pads and spray tires with 303 Protectant. Highly Recommended.

    6. Wash trailer and while wet, spray with ArmorAll and allow to air dry. This only goes on the black metal. Recommended.

    It was a four day project but worth it. I wish I knew how to post pictures from my phone, I think you would agree.

    The oxy cleaning solution from Bissell that came with the machine. It worked really good.

    LOOKS GREAT!! .. I’m due as well.. looks like my boat just got back from a third tour in Nam.. well it pretty much has. And it has the battle scars to prove it. Nonetheless this is a perfect time while Ill be doing some mechanical stuff as well.. good post .. I may not do the exact regimen, but I’ll certainly give it a good look over for items missed and product ideas. If this site wasn’t so damn particular about posting pics I do some pre surgery and post-op shots.. ( and Jeff.. story telling is far from lost.. one would think so by the vast availability to speak ones mind in soo many different ways.. forums .. voice ones experiences,and opinions in a descriptive manner that can deliver a moment in such a way that it makes those that read it relate to it, get lost in it, believe it , relate to it , be reveled by it... what IS lost are those who appreciate it. With the loss of appreciation , the story goes untold... ) but you
