I just received some samples from seadeck. Seams to be ok stuff, pricey though.

    Some questions -
    1. Did you buy the boat from Insurance auto auctions? If so, do you need a dealers license ?

    1. Yes, and Yes or a business that is in the automotive business. I got a friend that is a dealer so I went though him, otherwise you got to go through a broker 3 party and they will charge you like for my hull they wanted 500.00 to bid on it and secure it online and it was sell as parts 250.00 buy now. Still a great deal for this hull for 750 but if you know a guy take him to lunch and a favor!

    2. Who did you buy the hydroturf from? I was just on their site, couldn't find many colors. Found some other color options on either amazon or ebay though.
hydroturf-sheet-molded-diamond-37-x-58-p-367.html 2. From these guys, I think they just drop ship them from Hydroturf

Great job on the boat. Couple of questions:
    1. What was the name of the wet sanding equipment you were using?
    2. Did you apply a compound or smart strip paint remover before wet sanding?
    3. What grit sandpaper did you use?

    Thanks.

    1. Hutchins Water Bug 2, need a big compressor to run it
    2. No, water and sandpaper. Smart Strip is for carpet adhesive
    3. Started with 800, 1000, 1500, 2000 then compound

Thank you, yes had a bunch of negative comments on the hydroturf when I posted to the Facebook Champ owners group, but guess what? You don't have to look at it cause its not your boat!

I love the hydroturf! Stuff is awesome!

Man I get dizzy just looking at the blue camo! lol But I bet you're right, if you went with a solid color the seams would have been much more noticeable. Incredible job. I bet you could get 20 grand for that ride.

    Excellent job!

I used the hydroturf in the seating area when I re carpeted my champ and I love the stuff.

Was that day box that you added in front of the step up custom built?

I see the plastic center console one on there, but what about the metal one at 4:45 in the video? I could just be missing it.

    Thanks!

Oh, going to the front deck...yes that is a cooler step up box that was screwed into the boat from factory.
