The 450R is built on the AMS mid & weighs 700#. I dont think they will be popular on this page or even this board Rich.

At 700lbs I don't think you could stuff enough basketballs in the jack plate to float the rear end... Dan

There’s some chatter about the 450R on S&F. I learned that these will sell for approx $55K so another reason I don’t think there will be much talk about them round these parts!

And we thought boats and trucks were high. Approaching insanity when a motor cost 20k more than my brand new truck

They have been popping up down here on the big boats and performing very well. No it's not going to be a "popular" application for the bass boats but it is going to happen.

No doubt Rich, someone will make it happen. I believe it has a different midsection. If they ever offer with the traditional, it should be lighter.

That Mega Bass Veloster barrel rolled with a 400R on it. It is the closets rip off of a Bullet I've seen and I hear talk hat the weight hanging off the back had a lot to do with the crash.

Just saw a pic of one on FB, according to the poster it's currently being broken in... numbers coming soon...

If I had the extra play loot laying around I would consider trying to drop a 450R powerhead on a 300R mid-section and rocking out... but certainly not cheap!

Then I thought, well an SHO with forced induction and a hydro-tec lower would prob be close in performance and I believe cheaper, didnt actually run the numbers as it isnt happening anytime soon for me haha

It was plenty hot on Norris last week... ... If I wasn't able to re-hydrate with the High Life every evening I'd be down to about 170... Dan

Think he got that from the guy that owns Liberator Boats. I bet it will be nasty if he can get it propped right!
