Everyone please, make the drive to Guntersville.
Nah, you have to get more people there catch bigger and bigger bass... List GPS coordinates to help accomplish this... Dan
Take note everyone!!! The lake is on the decline much better places to go now.
Good riddance tourists.
Bill
It's only 70 miles and 1 hr. 10 minutes between The Chick and Scottsboro, Alabama's ramps to Guntersville Lake.
No reason traveling fishermen cannot catch them both.
Another good fishing lake is Carter's Lake, south of Chattsworth, GA. It's less than an hour from Chattanooga.
IMO, those BASS rankings are BS. The put one of our lakes as like #4 in the country a couple years ago which was a joke. It was all due to one guy catching a couple of 40+ lbs sacks. One guy sitting on one waypoint (yes ONE waypoint) for a couple of days in February does not make the lake #4. Yes, its good and does have big bass but if you don't know the lake, you get your feelings hurt quickly.

BASS lake rankings are determined just as much by amount of money the board of tourism pays them as the quality of the fishery. That's why they run this basically redundant article every year. Keeping their advertisers happy.
Hopefully the 2020 Big Bass Bash can help it's Rating for 2021...
The list is a joke but chick deserves to drop. The pressure has really taken its toll the past couple of years and it's showing bad this year. Sure there's still a big sack here and there and a bunch of 10+ bass that have come out of it this year but tournament weights are down quite a bit this year except for the night tournaments.
Fish on the ledges are lockjawed for the most part. I've never scanned so many schools of bass and not been able to get a bite out of any other them. The guys Ive talked to have said the same thing.
