Ok, lets start by saying I LOVE my Lynx and BCB and my local dealer!
I understand the trade-off between low speed on plane vs top end and related.
I am just curious, from those with actual experience in multiple basscats, which BCB model (particularly among classic, caracal, cougar, eyra and lynx) under just average conditions and use, exhibits the least tendency to plow at moderate speeds.
My Lynx has very good hole shot now with prop change and top end is unreal for a rig this size and the dryness and stability of the ride cannot be touched, especially at or near WOT!
The prop change also significantly reduced the amount of plowing at mid-range type speeds (say in the 30-60 range); but it is still bad especially on the lower end of that range.
Yes, if I am in rough water on Toledo or Rayburn I can leave EVERYONE behind, stay dry, and not get beat up; its awesome! This is a completely different question. :)
I am looking to find the BCB model that does the least plowing, smoothest, on plane ride at speeds in the 25-55 range, particularly in the lower end of that range.
There are places we fish around here where 60mph+ is not an option (even 40+), would take forever at high idle, but are somewhat exhausting to plow down there sorta on plane at 30-40; and creates a huge wake that way that upsets other boaters.
I understand it is not the claim to fame of BCB and I am more than accepting of the trade-offs as I do NOT wish to EVER give up the BCB customer service, the BCB family, awesome performance, awesome ride, highest quality build in the market, nor my local dealer!
Just looking for some ideas of best options for consideration on my next rig; if there even is a noticeable difference period.
Thanks!!
