    shorelandr trailer brake caliper removal

If you're replacing your bearings you have to remove the calipers to get the hub off. This requires an allen wrench that you can only turn a tiny bit at a time. I cut off a short piece of the allen wrench leaving enough sticking out of the nut to put a ratcheting wrench on. Makes it go a lot faster. Just remember where you saved the little piece of allen wrench for the next time or carry it in your boat in case you need to change on the roadside.

Unfortunately I have found those to be too long to fit.

What’s blocking you from using those sockets? You could move the caliper mounting brackets to a different position on the axle so the bolts aren’t blocked.
