    Reels serviced?

Anyone local here servicing reels? How much are people charging for a service?

Not sure who is local but you can check out The Tackle Trap in Alabama. Guys do great work and it’s not to pricey. Cost me 60 bucks to have 1 reel cleaned and 1 reel rebuilt/cleaned.

Kels in Casselberry services them but they too are somewhat expensive.

Well how much is your time worth? I'm assuming your not wanting to take the necessary time to clean them like all of us, its not a quick process if done properly.
This guy has done well for me in the past, about as fair a price as you will find. http://thkustoms.com/Threeltuningand...l_Service.html

Have used Reel Deal Outdoors in St Pete for a few years with zero problems. Can't remember the basic charge, but seemed reasonable to me...and he gives a discount for multiple reels. Call and ask for Keith.

Also, They are a factory authorized dealer/repair facility for Minn Kota

Kel's is a hit or miss ,my buddy had a shimano saltwater reel there for 6 months..I'd send them off to Trey Harpel or Reelex , both forum sponsors.

30 reels being serviced is going to be very pricey no matter who you go to. But 900 for service is better than 6k plus for 30 new ones.

I sent mine to Dan at Reelex. He did a good job. He answers the phone so call him and work
out a deal. He is really really good with Shimano.

I wouldn't fly over Kels and yes Tackle Trap is as good as they get.
