    Missouri vacation

Going to plan a trip late summer or fall. Looking for recommendations LOZ or other that will provide nice area with plenty to offer the fiancé when not on lake. Ideally would like laid back lodging (pet friendly for the dog a plus). Oh yeah...going to be looking for nice home to buy while in MO. Gotta get out of IL

Branson is the place to go with so many activities and music shows. Bull Shoals and Table Rock lakes are nothing short of great too.

If I was going to retire and move to a Lake area Tablerock would be on top of the list.

Lake O. is way easier to catch a good bass than Table Rock, but having both Bull and Taney close is nice. No big traffic jams at Lake O. Restaurants probably better at Lake O. also. If you fish the colder months, both Lake O. and Table Rock are good, but Lake O. has way more crappie. Not sure where all these Rock votes came from as it is getting quite crowded in summer also.

There are plenty of areas of LOZ that are not crowded all the time.

I have a place on Bull Shoals. Half the boats in our marina have Illinois tags on them.

If you decide to do the Table Rock/Branson area. The 2 shows that you want to see are Dixie Stampede (it may just be called Stampede now) and Rick Thomas the illusionist. Both are good enough the wife and I have been to both several times.
