    Jig heads

I have a jig that they discontinued. I can't find anything on the market like it and am curious about getting it copied. Where do I start looking for someone to do this?

Post a picture of it here as it may be as simple as identifying what commercial mold it was made from.

So the closest one I see on Mike's links is the Backstroke jig. It is a 30 degree instead of a 60 degree head. The closest I know of is the Do-It brush jig.

The Stone jig was a proprietary head for Manns and I am about 90% sure it was produced by Cast Industries. Cast makes all the stuff for lurepartsonline that is lead based. Since Manns no longer sells that head you can try calling them and ask if they will make you some. Not sure if they will but it is worth a shot.

Option 3 is to make or have someone make a mold for you. Single cavity mold out of silicone would be cheaper. Aluminum then I don't know but not cheap.

The stone jig is thinner and longer. The brush jig wont come through the grass anywhere near as good.... Many I linked will.

Are you saying to call Mann or Cast industries? I called Mann last year when I found out they were discontinued and all they said was "sorry, you can try to find them on eBay."

Call Cast Industries and explain the situation. They may sell you some because nobody is using that mold anymore. Be sure to emphasize that they are for personal use.

I had this mold made a number of years ago and have only used it once or twice. I believe it was a Mann’s Stone jig, which I rounded off to get a cleaner pour. If you’re interested give me your address and I’ll send it to you.

I emailed Cast industries about making the head for me and haven't heard anything back in almost a week. I'm guessing by the lack of response I have my answer.

I've tried the bankroll jigs and they are ok. They don't seem to come through grass as well as the stone jig.

That Loc-Jaw Milfoil jig from Mike's third link looks like "the deal" for something similar that will come through the grass. It has a flatter hook eye angle, but I think that will only help it come through grass.

I have several custom molds with both Cast Industries and Tight Line Anglers. Cost is about $300 per size per bait but at least they are mine and noboby can make them.

There is probably a million different jig heads on the market. I doubt that the bass care. Plenty to choose from w/o paying for custom molds... Especially when they can easily be modified yourself.

Correct me on this... that price includes both the initial mold and the mastering services. Pretty darn cheap compared to a production mold for injection plastics.
