    Suspending or on the bottom?

    Captured something long and skinny that appeared (by my interpretation) to be suspended off of the bottom. Maybe a pike or gar.


    Firstly, do the experts agree that whatever it is, is NOT in contact with the bottom? Can you briefly explain your thought process as to why? (I was think it is not in contact with the bottom due to the distance from the hyperechoic area to the hypoechoic “shadow”.)


    Secondly, any guesses as to what kind of fish it might be and what kind of clues make you think so?

    Dont see any picture.
    If it is off the bottom, you should see a bright spot with a corresponding dark shadow. I can usually identify bigger fish by the shadows on zoom.
