    California/Oregon vacation

My wife and I are trying to plan a vacation to see the redwoods. She also wants to drive into Oregon to see crater lake. We where thinking of flying into SF and driving up to Crater Lake for a day. Then driving across to Creasent City for the redwoods. Then driving down the coastal hwy and back to SF to fly home. Is this a doable trip and is there anything that we must see along the way. Thanks in advance for any input.

SF to the Oregon border will be every bit of 4 hours or so. Very doable over a minimum of 2 days...3 might be better to actually enjoy the sights.

Been to crater lake, very cool, walk down and take the boat ride. Also go to Oregon caves, must see and trees of mystery. Caves are about an hour or so past Ca border on coast side and trees of mystery about hour or so south of Oregon/California border. Look them up. Won't be disappointed
