    what Etec to go with

    I am repowering my 95 gambler. I am looking at gettinga 200 hp, i would like to find a etec in the the mid 2000's I know that newer is better but I am trying to stay in a certain price range. couple questions I have

    any specific years or models better than the others, or bad things to watch out for.

    are there any 175 etecs that can be turned into 200's with a ecu tune.

    2010 or newer.

    175 cannot be tuned to 200

    If my memory is correct in the year range your talking about a 200 E-TECH is a small block that makes 200 HP. They also have a 200 HO that is a big block and being a HO model that means it is tuned to push the 10% rule so it's more like 220 HP. I often say the 200 is a 150 on steroids and the 200 HO is a detuned 250.
