Starting to put together my wants and needs list for my next boat.
For you guys that have the shocks on your trailers do you see that much
of a difference in towing and if you had to order again would you.
Thanks for any input

I didn't think I would care about shocks that much but once I got one with shocks on it I can't ever go back. It just absorbs a lot of the road. The boat doesn't bounce almost at all and when it hits dips or potholes it keeps the boat straight and stops it from bouncing. I would definitely recommend them.
The road in Ohio are terrible. I am 100% glad I went with the shocks.

Yes Michigan is worse than Ohio!!
I fully understand shocks and there purpose. However, I've pulled both. The trailer without shocks pulls easier. Plus for my 45 years of pulling most all never had shocks. Never had an issue because of it. Not knocking shocks, just not a must have! I find plenty of must have's! IMO!

Get somebody to pull your boat down a road that is not absolutely level and ride in it. You might consider shocks then.
Well worth it

Yes! You may not feel the difference when towing it, but the boat and everything in it will.

I have owned several different boats. My last 2 were Phoenix's with shocks. It makes all the difference in how your trailer absorbs the potholes. You can absolutely feel the difference in your truck, I HIGHLY recommend them.

I would have shocks again but after having torsion axles Im not sure I can go back to leafs
With leaf springs, absolutely a waste of money. Any one saying other wise is just trying to justify there lack of knowledge on this subject. The only exception to this is if the springs are to soft for the load being carried or single leaf, then shocks are just a band aid that will improve things a little

Thank You Leon Pugh
yup , it's worth it
100% yes on shocks, Trick Step, Paint over gatorhyde and back up lights. I researched all of those options and would do it again absolutely!
