Thinking of trailering up Kerr one day next week to fish/ride around.( from LKG, Bracey). What ramp is close, descent and safe to park at?
Havent been to North bend in probably 30 year. Only other place I know of is Rudd Creek.

Palmers Point is the closest.
Kimball Pt is the best ramp and free.
I like north bend myself.

I work for the contractor that takes care of all the Army Corps parks on Kerr and work out of North Bend but travel to all of the others and I like North Bend the most which is the most secure.

North Bend needs sand removed from prop wash loading up. If the lake is 299 or lower it sucks!A Also of the 6 ramps I have used in Nutbush Creek, all are free and better than Va ramps.
Its surposed to be done every Friday, but I agree we put in there today so we could check buoys and the sand is bad and was reported.
Last time I was there didn't open gate until 8.
