    Nitro z20 speed 225

I’ve noticed there are a lot of Z20’s with 225 4S for sale in the pro packages. I’ve seen a video from boattest.com the Z20 with the 250 4S did 76mph. I was wondering if anyone had some numbers with a 225 4S.

I seen the same video...I believe they’re stretching the truth on that WOT. I have the exact same boat motor and prop and the best I’ve seen was 71@ 5900 rpm. How they’re turning that 24 Fury at max rpm is beyond me. Also my PTP is approximately 3 1/2in.

I'm not sure about 225hp numbers. I do not know anyone with that set-up...

But I can honestly tell you that I have maxed out at right at 75.5-76 mpg regularly. I have 2 10ft Talons, 4 batteries, Tournament load, by myself and half tank of gas.. 23P fury is my prop, with an Atlas Jack plate. You need to raise the motor to reach that speed. My estimation is about 3" up from its lowest point during WOT (no JP gage), above that and you will start to lose speed.

I didn't expect these kind of numbers. And can't explain why there is such a wide range of top-end speeds being reported. But I am 100% confident that it is possible to reach 75+ with a comparable load...

    I have a Z20 with a 250 Verado. Did a lot of p2p adjustments. 71 was the best I ever saw.

The best numbers are coming from 2019 boats with the 250 V8 PXS.
