Ultrex - Cut my Ethernet Cable

I noticed my loop was hanging a bit low and I should have fixed it but didn’t. Ended up pinching the cable in half yesterday in a tourney.

Took the head unit and cable to a local electronic repair shop. Asked them to resolder about 6 inches of the connection end of the cable to the head unit mother board I’ll now run my existing Ethernet cable up to the head and connect there. If I pinch it again, it’s only a new cable and not a $270 headunit that I need to replace. Should be about $50 for the resolder.

Piss-poor design.

I nearly fried the whole thing last week on Falcon. I went to deploy the motor and somehow the main cable wrap hung in the mount and the metal mount cut through the wrap and into not the positive and negative power wires. I heard the arcing and saw the smoke before feeling the resistance of the wires in the mount. I quickly pulled the motor back up and fortunately, everything worked fine. I now need to do some patch work to protect the small incision in the wiring.
