I'm not one for laying out at the beach....but a couple of rods and pvc rod holders driven in the sand can keep me there all day.....

You got that right....most of the time..lol. We just got back from our week on a gulf coast beach. Latter part of the week, the wind was so bad you would get sand blasted. Good time to go places.

The fishing was good/bad. Because the water was so stirred up, all that would bite within casting distance of the first sandbar was sail cats. It was like being at a catfish pond though, you literally could not get back to shore before getting bit. If you casted from shore, you couldn't get the rod in the holder before one got on. Get tired of fishing, go sit and watch the waves for a while.
