    A decent morning fishing....

A friend and I fished heavy hydrilla this morning and I was fortunate to catch two large bass, one at 13.4 and the other at 12.6.

Thanks Mickstix, We flipped and cast the hydrilla but we were not getting the bites at first light. So, I pulled out the old reliable summer crankbait and the first three cast was a rewarding 29 lbs. We caught 17 bass by 9:30 with the 5 weighing 38 lbs + change. It was a good morning and my friend had to be home by 11 o'clock. Some fellow in a blue and white Bullet broke his motor about a mile from the ramp so I stopped to pull him in and we were almost late getting John home on time (he had to go to work).

Oh lord.. I wouldn't want to experience the anxiety of a very large bass on treble hooks!! Well, yes I would. Nice that you caught em' up and did a good deed on the way in!! I stopped and towed a guy in a few weeks back as well.. Hopefully they pay it forward (and it's not us who needs the tow)
