    YC City Lake

Just an FYI for those who might fish the lake. All the grass is gone. There is some water willow still around the shore, but the submerged grass is not there. I would guess the high/muddy water from all the rain killed it.

And in case anyone was headed to my home lake, Keith Sebelius, the KDHE just issued a blue green alge warning. And I've got a cabiin for 4 days over the fourth.

Go fishing, no swimming or pets swimming, no big deal

I’m planning on it. Gonna be my best fishing weekend of the year.

My earlier thinking that the high water killed the grass might have been premature. Last night there were lots of huge (30+) grass carp in the shallow waters. This is the first time I have ever seen any in the lake. Not sure how they got there, but that many carp would have an effect on the grass in short time.
