    TM150 with Live?

HDS 12-Live Don't see the transducer listed in the installation menu. I thought maybe it auto detected? Its connected to the blue port with a 7 to 9 adapter. Frequency's show 200/83/50/ and low med high chirp. Second ducer wbl-pdrt connected to the black port with adapter as well...What's going on with this thing? Connected wrong?

I'm pretty sure.... you need to have the Xid transducer connected to the 9 pin(Structure) port on the HDS 12 - Live. I do on my Carbon to get the Xsonic TM185HW to install. The wire is there on the TM150 blue/7 pin connector but it appears it's not active on the Sonar port of the MFD. As a test... remove the 7/9 adapter and connect your TM150 to the structure(9 pin) port.

It must be an older TM150...it has a blue 7 pin connecter. Had to use a 9 pin adapter.

Apparantly you should connect it to the black port.
Which confuses me, since the black port is also meant for active imaging transducer.
So how do people use a 2-1 and a tm150 on one unit?
Because that's what I want to do.

Ok...easy enough to swap out...as far as A/I and TM 150 together...I have duals. A/I on one and TM150 on the other

I dunno... My TM185HW is ~2 years old and I had to go the 7/9 pin adapter route to get it working. That was one of my complaints with the 7 pin port on the Carbon. From the outside looking in it seems like such a simple thing to provide Xsonic capabilities to the 7 pin port.

Thanks yup...I was concerned I bought a ducer that won’t work. More concerned I would have to run another friggin wire.

wonder why the manual states both ports support sonar/chirp?

Because they do both support CHIRP. But CHIRP n' Xsonic ain't the same thing.

I think I got it xsonic is just the automatic recognition. But you could still connect the tm150 to the blue port and configure it manually?

Dont think so as it doesn’t recognize the TM150 frequencies at least from my limited knowledge of this thing.

If it's an Xsonic capable transducer you will not see it on the "select" list when trying to install a transducer. Xsonic either works... or it don't.

I know there is an xid xsonic 9/7 pin adapter, I had to use for my carbon with my tm150. I would imagine they would make an xid xsonic 7/9 pin adapter as well.

What frequency options does your live give you?

From reading around...I don't think the live unit is recognizing the 150.

Does it grey out the transducer selection and state "TM150M" in the selection field?
