Am I correct in understanding that you have a blue 7 pin connector on the TM150M to which you have used 7/9 pin adapter cable to connect to Channel 1(Sonar) on your Live unit. I’m similar in that I need a 9 pin connection which is the (structure) Channel 2 port on my Carbon.

Thanks...I'm running latest as well. I must have a bad transducer.

The TM150 won't work in ch2; plug it directly in ch1

Bought a tm150 from Treeguys a while back. Hooked up to a carbon...it had the adapter cable and when it was connected the carbon went into auto detect mode and I was good to go.

I’m working with a Carbon and a TM185HW and that combo works on channel 2(Black, 9 pin, structure port)Interesting that the TM150M requires channel 1 on the Live. Interesting indeed.

Just read the installation manual and yes you can use ch2 with a chirp transducer. You can also use a 3-1 in ch1 but you won’t get sides can only downscan

It wasn’t the chirp that moved me to channel 2 on the Carbon. As best I recall.... I had to get the 7/9 cable and move to the 9 pin port to have the xsonic feature function. I’m almost positive that’s the case but when I get all wired up again I’m going to try connecting to the 7 pin connector and see if the xsonic works there. If it does I’ll be at a loss to explain why I bought a adapter cable!

    Interesting

    https://www.thehulltruth.com/marine-...-th150m-2.html

I think the only thing going on here is XID is not working on this ducer...a quick check and my airmar is ticking away...so my questions is...if I select med chirp or what ever level of chirp, am I getting Airmar performance or lowrance programming. I haven't been on the water yet with this Airmar...so I have no idea how it performs.

    I have a TM150 black 9-pin plug.

It worked just fine in the HDS-12 Carbon CH2 black 9-pin connection.

Upgraded to HDS-12 and HDS-16 Live console units. The same TM150 works just fine in the HDS-12 Live Ch2 black 9-pin connection also.
My Structurescan 3-n-1 transducer is connected in the HDS-16 Live CH2 black 9-pin connection.

    So got my hds-live 9, a 2in2 and an airmar-150.
I plugged the 2in1 in channel 2 (black) connector and the tm150m in the channel 1 (blue).
All worked plug&play with no problems.

Curious that the TM150 frequency options include 83khz..... since its specs are 95-155khz. I noticed this when I got my new TM150 connected up to my HDS Gen 3 last week.

Does anyone run it in 83khz? Results? What depths etc does that frequency suit?

    thanks!

The 83 kHz is there because some people think a transducer that can’t do 83 kHz can’t be any good in shallow water. The only upside I see is that sometimes when you fish close to other boats, having 83 as an option can help to avoid crosstalk.

It doesnt benefit from a wider cone in shallower water and bigger arches?

Im talking strictly as a fish-finding tool.
