Thanks! Looks like my next project.

I’m sure you all know this, but running a holesaw backwards to cut through the gel coat greatly reduces the risk of chipping.

I do now! and that's one reason you should research before you DIY on any project. With that being said be careful which YouTube video you watch.

What was the cost from C&O Marine? I'm also curious is you have trouble with the ruler falling out there on the side?

    Ruler Holder (2).jpg
Kept it simple without drilling any holes. Ruler from C&O Marine and it fits perfectly down the outside of the trash can/storage on my 2015 Z8. Lid closes and it's readily available when you need it.

Thats a great idea, wonder if it would work on my 2021 Z18

I ordered one from C&O yesterday. The ruler was $20 and the flush mount was $10. For me, in Maryland, shipping was $15 so the total came to around $48.

I have a 2021 z18 coming in and I thought it might interfere with the ice. In our boats the trash is in the cooler. In the picture, it looks like the trash is in a separate hatch?

The trash/storage has a separate lid on the older style layout. Mine has a larger lid for the cooler and the smaller on the left side. It works for me.

This is what I did on my 17’ z18. I just gave up one of my Plier holders. So I just took a cordless jigsaw made a small notch and the measuring ruler fit right in. It is only a 16” long ruler though. But my tournament are 15” min so it works great.

i should have took a picture with the ruler all the way down. But it sticks up only a inch if that. Perfect for grabbing quickly. But if you wanted a 18” ruler this would not be a good option because it would stick up way to high then.
