Didn’t Triton change the hulls in ‘16? I was looking at a ‘17 18TRX with a 200 SHO on it last weekend and it was a great looking rig. It was just shy of 19’ but still had the 200. Most have a max 175hp rating. The TRX seemed to carry its width further forward, the front deck was really large and the layout was perfect.

Im a big fan of the Skeeters but I would go with the Triton.

Earl is a legend in the bass boat community. Hydra Sport, Stratos, Triton.
He has started a new venture (guess he got bored) and will be making blue water and bass boats again under the Caymas name.

I own a 200ZX, i fished out of tr19 Triton Thursday. Triton has a little wider front deck it rides a little better, fit and finish is about the same. The compartments are about the same. Here's what I like about my Skeeter it sets flatter and lower on the water I have low bridges on my home lake this is a plus. Skeeter is a little more stable with the trolling motor down. Skeeter drives and handles like a sports car, the skeeter seats set a little higher off the floor and are a little more cushiony which I like.

They are both nice boats but if your going to compare apples to apples the 225 ZX would be closer to the triton.

I've had both and Skeeter is a better riding boat in my opinion. I had a Triton when I had my back surgery. I was bored during my recuperation from my surgery and started looking at boats. Never has a Skeeter before but found one that I liked. I never rode in it but bought it anyway. My son and friend drove to Alabama and picked it up. That was three Skeeters ago. With my bad back the Skeeter is a great riding boat (ponsons).
