After Market (non OEM) fuel and air filters?

What are your thoughts on the non OEM after market filters? I'm specifically talking about the fuel and air filters. The price difference between the two are around $30-$35 difference, I don't mind paying the higher price but not if the after market are just as good. This is for a 90HP 2 stroke Optimax.

    This is the style filter:

    Thanks,

Just don't. Use either Mercury or Quicksilver (which is Mercury) for your engine.

Somebody makes them for Mercury, I would use filters from a reputable manufacturer.

Strongly recommend the OEM components, especially in this area.

And if there's a $30 difference in price on a filter... that's got to be one REALLY, REALLY "cheap" filter!

I see people filling up a $20,000 motor with ethanol gas, scratch my head every time.
