    That's exactly how mine is. If the tongue isn't horizontal I did something wrong screwing it in.

    plug wouldn’t go in straight. Dealer said he sees it a lot on tin rangers. The plug stay hits aluminum brace inside.
    Small hole saw thru the drain hole. 1/4” into brace and bent it over with chisel.
    Perfect every time now. Also horizontal works for mine for no leaky.
