    Question Bass Cats For Sale

Can anyone tell me why there are so many newer (2017,18,19 ) Bass Cats for sale??
Looks like they must have had a " blow out, no payment for six mos" , type sale on new ones. Or else maybe they have made some changes to the newer mlodels that don't set well? Any one out there knlow?

I am going to buy a 2018 Bass Cat. In 2038 if I live that long (which I won't). By then I should be able to afford a 2018 model. I consider a Bass Cat the supreme everyday bass boat, which many can afford, although not a new one.

There are A LOT of guys that buy a new one every other year. I cannot comprehend why but it sure is nice for those that want a boat with plenty of motor warranty left!

Besides the guys that have sponsor deals and get new boats even year I think a lot of people want the new 4 stroke. I've seen some great deals on some 2017-2018 models with 2 strokes, some so great that even though I'd hate to get a new boat without a 4 stroke it would be hard to pass up the deals on the 2 strokes. I've got one kid about to start college, one that I'll have to buy a car for in less than year, then she'll be in college in 3 years, so my 17 Eyra will have to last me for a while before I get a new one. I've kinda gotten rid of the 4 stroke bug I had a few months ago.

Yep, those boats are being sold by people who buy new boats every year that fish tournaments. You will notice you will not see that many Panteras, Sabres, and Margays for sale. People that buy those boats tend to keep them.

I have a 2017 Puma and have considered selling it to buy a bay boat. I would not sell to buy another bass boat.

A thriving economy. Low loan rates with longer terms. The want of the new 4 stroke Merc.
Those are probably the biggest driving reasons for the used boat market being flooded.

It's annual and semi-annual turns with some products hanging on a bit longer now for several different reasons. We don't think you will see this on the late 2018 and 2019 models. Though the early 2018 and 2017 models do have some longer sales periods in the market.

I think a lot of it is the introduction of the new 4 stroke Merc.

We are sure that several are wanting to move to the newer engine now and they can afford to. Which is obvious in the backordered Mercury product being 12 to 18 months out on orders, as those wanting to re-power their rigs are a tremendous number.
