    250 SHO plug question

I have always changed my own plugs, lower unit lube, water pumps and filters on every Yamaha I’ve owned. Went to pull the cowl and shroud on my 250 SHO and don’t even recognize what I’m looking at. Thought no problem bound to be a SHO plug change video out there but no dice. Can anyone give me a quick tutorial on how to get to the plugs?

First thing I buy with any engine I own is a shop manual. Never wrenched on a SHO but I would imagine it is very easy.

    It's not real hard.

Pop the top plastic cover off. Then remove the rear plastic cover. You will see the coil packs on top of the 6 plugs at the back of the engine. There is a bolt to remove to allow the coil pack and plug boot to come off.

After that it's just like removing and replacing spark plugs in anything else.

Thanks skipper, that’s what I thought but didn’t want to unbolt the coil packs and really screw something up if plugs weren’t under there.
