Transom mount ps21 or ps22
Have both a ps21 and 22 im not currently using now that I have livescope. Was going to keep the 22 for ice fishing and sell the 21 but wondering if having one of these transome mounted would be beneficial? Anybody doing this?
Obviously it wont scan at high speed but will the transducer hold up?

I’m in the process of mounting either the 21 or 22 on the transom of my boat. I have a transom mount but have decided to use another means. I want to be able to rotate it and also to raise it up out of harms way when need be.
I have ordered a Minn Kota Pontoon Bracket part no. 123755962383. The shaft for it will be designed after arrival. Should be able to just raise it when need be and by removing the bottom bolt it should rotate up if struck. I think I have a simple solution to hold it down when searching. Time will tell.
Wrestling with which to use 21 or 22. Pros and cons to each.

Ive never mounted my 21 on the transom, always on a rotating stick
but it could be used on the transom to scan ahead to follow depth contours while trolling
