    Garmin quick release docking station?

Has anyone lost a graph while trailering? I was heading to lake yesterday get out of Hardee’swith a biscuit and my console 93sv plus was missing? Makes no sense.... I’m sick at my stomach to think it was lost or stolen. Any experiences?

Can you get just a replacement screen from garmin or is the docking station useless without the correct unit?

Had it recently been put in the cradle? If you don't press it hard until you hear a loud click, it is not seated all of the way. I learned that the hard way with my bow unit. Luckily it stayed in the boat. I have read numerous threads about this...seems it is a common occurrence.

Never hurts to give Garmin a call and see what they will do.

Had my 93sv chirp pop out of the cradle one time and that was pulling out of the lake. Luckily it stayed in the bow of the boat (jon). Most likely I had failed to secure it properly that time. I trailer in to a lake that I cover about 8 miles of gravel road. Don't know how many times I kept it on while travelling. Counted my lucky stars and never leave it attached while on the road now--any road. Just not willing to roll the dice.

I always taken them off boat when traveling but never had one come out when running on the water.

Trailered mine about 15 miles the other day and unit was laying on the floor when I got there. Had been using it at a different lake so must have been clipped in pretty well. The clip seems very secure I cant see how it could be partially locked but I double triple check it now. I know they redesigned these clips on the new ultras though so must have been an issue.

Would have been pretty easy to have a electronic indication showing that its latched properly. LED or something.

Out of caution, I'll use a velcro strap on my bow unit while on the water but then I'll forget to strap it half the time....

No they had not been removed in the last 4 or 5 trips.

I installed 3 units on my boat and have been out 5 times now and in some choppy water and luckily they have stayed on so far. Imdo take all 3 off when trailering to and back from the lake.

I use the rubber twist ties. Cheap, easy, and effective.
