Long story short I was out breaking in my new z19 with a 175 Optimax in her and was only seeing 5000 rpm and speed about 56 top (after I was able to trim it up).
Was as wondering if anyone had any advice I should be getting more rpm and a few more mph I’m thinking. What prop would be best on it?
Do you have a hotfoot?
Ya I do have a hotfoot. Also front what I’m reading on my throttle arm I have a gap of .08. From what I can find it needs to be about .02 which isn’t much I guess
Also so the prop is a tempest plus 23p
im thinking I need the 24p
If you're at 5000 rpm with a 23, going to a 24 is only going to lower your rpms. Lots to check:
1. Prop to pad measurement
2. Hot foot adjustment (See Merc boards on how to check)
3. All cylinders firing?
I wouldn't expect to see much more than 60 with a 175 on the z19.
