Good job 'Noles! You got 11 to the big dance one last time.
My sons pitching instructor played at FSU for Coach Martin. Said he is a great guy and they are still in touch to this day ( he played for him in the 80's).
Semper Fi
Go Cards... Lets get a couple more wins.
Martin is an icon to collegiate baseball, good man.
Go Blue B10
Who controls John Gill?
Cards are still in it. Now on to Vandy tonight. They have beat Vandy before but seem to not have much luck against them in the CWS.
Well, Vandy vs Michigan. Still staying with my pick. Vandy!!
Go Blue. B10
i was pulling for Louisville last night, Luke Smith is a hellva pitcher
Smith should let his performance on the mound speak for itself instead of bringing the hoodrat mentality and profanity shouts. He looks like a freak and acted like one before it was over. Disgrace to all of us to lower himself to that level.
Agreed, I'm all for being in the moment and being emotional but to do that to one of the leaders of the Vandy team was over the top. Don't poke the sleeping bear.
I wonder if there was jawing going on back and forth prior to that. Seems I remember a ref having to tell the Vandy guys in the dugout to settle down at one point.
Either way there was no reason to do that especially on tv.
Gotta give Mcdonnel credit as he in a very short period of time has put together teams that compete with anyone.
i agree, he is a heck of a pitcher, would have been a good time to laugh or give a little smirk, instead of jawing it out...but at that level and being that close to the "big dance" emotions are crazy
and congrats to Coach Martin, no shame in his game
the game should be a good one, but gotta go with SEC and the Dore's
Putting a clown in the castle doesn't make him a king, it turns the castle into a circus
Pretty good game tonight. Michigan is up but no one is out of it yet.
Boatless Bank Trash for now
Go Blue!
True—- Vandy players jawed him all night, then when he is striking them out it was his turn to say something. Notice how the Vandy players came out of the dugout? No control on their part ( ok for us, but not you ). Who got the warning? The bench did, not Smith. If a player doesn’t want an opponent to respond, then they should keep their mouths shut and not start something. You can bet the refs heard the Vandy players all night.
GO BLUE
