Unhappy Goose Egg at Eufaula today

Threw everything....Senko, Shaky Head, Swim Bait, Frog, Chatterbait, rattletrap and crankbaits. Fished grass, weeds, around tree trunks, open water, lillies, Not even a sniff !!!

Makes for a very boring and uninteresting day, Goose Egg!

That lake was the reason Tom created the 12" jelly worm. That lake in summer is all about offshore structure.

I have had a lot more days of catching nothing, than I have had successful days. And...I've been fishing for many years!

My parents bought a lake house/trailer 2 years ago on the south end. Do a lot of fishing down on that end. During the spring and fall I will catch a few each time I go out. During the summer months I am like you. Not much hits what I am throwing. Still trying to figure out the structure off shore. My dad doesn't have very good electronics so I may end up taking my boat next time.

If any of you have some suggestions on places to start looking on the lake that would be a big benefit to someone who may get down there 3 or times a year if I am lucky.

It happens to most of us at some point. Does not make it any easier to accept but it is still great to be on the water.

Describes my Sunday, how in the world can two people fish hard for 8 hours and not catch a single 14" bass to weigh in..... Blows my mind!
