    Dobyns 733 vs 734

Just got a 733 and honestly feels about the same as my 734 is this how they all are I figured it would be noticeably softer

734 does have more backbone deeper into the rod. Maybe it’s because they both have softer tips. What are you throwing with it? What series Dobyns are you using? I have champion 733 and 734 and can tell the 734 is a little bit more stout. Have you fished them side by side or just held them?

I thought my 735 and 736 felt very similar until I actually got on the lake and started fishing with them both. Straight out of the package though, with them rigged up, just flexing the rods I could barely feel a difference. I can definitely tell the difference between them now. I don't have a 733 to compare to my 734s so I can't help you there, but have you fished with it yet?

Once you fish them you'll definitely notice a difference. 733 will bend deeper into the blank, and has a little better tip for throwing lighter lures.

The 733 is a great Buzzbait / Ribbit frog rod... The 734 is good for big spinnerbaits

I have the 733 and 734 and I can tell a very noticeable difference... 734 is definitely a stouter rod

Yeah I have a 743 hp thinking the rods would be similar in action and power but this 733 is fishing identical to my 734 I'm lost here I may buy another 733 and see if its different and just get rid of both if they are and just go with all 734

734 is one of the most versatile rods
