The Tatula rods are very nice.

Not much selection and the cheapest i see is 59 bucks and 15 bucks off each if you buy two.
I just looked at those St. Croix Rods and I don’t see where it says it comes with a reel. I see that it says and when paired with a Diawa it makes a good combo or something to that effect. I also only see $69 as the cheapest option without the $15 off when purchasing two.

In my opinion
there are 2 different warranties out there
lifetime on defects, which is almost worthless
and then there’s a no hassle replacement, covers every thing
I think Dobyns and G Lommis have the best no hassle
Replacement at this time.
snap the tip off in the car door you pay a fee and you
Get a new rod.
Both are great rods, and easy to deal with

They also have some sweet mocs to wear around the house at $19.99
I really like Powell rods but the new endurance (149$) is troublesome, I've broken 3 in a short period of time, quick no questions asked replacement at 70$/rod though, just throw that out there

How long does it need to be?
If there is a defect in the blank, it will break long before it's been used for a year.
If a rod breaks when it's 2, 3, 10 years old, it's not a warranty issue. A company like Dobyns, or Loomis, who will replace a rod for a small fee is being more than fair in my opinion.

Sorry to hear you feel this way. We believe our warranty is rock solid. If the rod has an issue due to defect in materials or workmanship in the allotted timeframe - there is no replacement cost for the product. We also have an awesome no questions asked lifetime replacement program for anything outside of warranty.
We have very few true warranty claims. Defects show up FAST and our history over the past 10 years shows that every claim made after 1 year has not been due to defect. Rods don't "go bad". It's kinda like a car tire - curb it enough and it's going to pop. You hitting curbs is not a warranty issue. Hit your trolling motor or the gunnel enough, and the rod is going to pop.
We go the extra mile to store your receipt for you at registration so you don't have to provide proof of purchase if you have an issue. This is done to make any type of claim as easy as possible. I don't know of a single rod company that does this other than us.
Please don't confuse warranty and replacement programs. If it's truly a defect, you should not be paying a replacement fee, period. I'm not really sure why anyone thinks "send in the broken rod plus a fee" is a warranty. Warranty replacement should be no more than return shipping to replace.
