How much better is boat Traffic on Yadkin Lakes Compared to Catawba?

Somewhat newer to area, in Davidson. Have only fished the Cat lakes so far. Looking for a lake to hit on summer weekends. Have a 17 ft nitro so Norman is out of the question. Hoping to find a decent fishery that the main lake isnt unfishable on weekends..

Debating the east lakes like High Rock, Tuckertown, randleman, or just hitting Mountain Island.

    Thanks guys!

IMHO it's much worse on the yadkin because it's a much smaller space with a higher density of boats and way more fishermen to compete with. It's a parade.....one boat leaves a spot and another one immediately pulls up on it and so on all day long.

Badin is like a washing machine. High Rock doesnt seem as bad to me but there is plenty of traffic. If you dont mind, it dont matter.

Randleman... only lake to fish on the weekends... no recreational traffic at all...just anglers.

Pointless fishing the others between May and Oct on the weekends.

Norman has allot of area that's no wake.
I'm in an 18.5 nitro. I fish around docks out of Blyth landing. Or go north to get into the downed trees.

On the weekends all of the lakes get crowded. Tuckertown usually has less pleasure boats but still has a lot of fisherman on the weekends.

Randleman gets my vote. No pleasure boats and no skiing. Plenty of good fish to go around as well.

Just expect a LOT of company. Just watch where everyone else fished because it will be a parade/carousal
