We are staying at Edgewater Beach Resort in Forsyth, MO middle of July. I am a novice to trout but wanting to to try and get on some. Any of you have any advice? Also, What else can we catch in the area? We will be with in seeing distance of the spillway that runs into Bull shoals. Any crappie?

Somebody may come along that knows a whole lot more than me about this subject but since you've gotten no response....when I was a kid my dad and I would fish for trout on occasion below one of our dams. We used corn, marshmallows, or the powerbait that looked like little marshmallows, rooster tails, and small casting spoons. Marshmallows and powerbait got rigged on really small hooks with a small split shot under a float. That's about my extent of knowledge when it comes to trout fishing but we used to catch a few doing that.
