Flow-Rite Marine Control Cable - broken attachment nut

Unable to find an existing thread, so...

The plastic attachment nut on the control cable broke from the plastic housing it is seated on. https://store.flow-rite.com/marine-control-cable.html

Temporary solution was to remove the actuator, expose the cable, and open/close the valve by hand. So while the cable still works, it is not aesthetically pleasing.

Tried J-B Weld, didn't hold when installed on actuator. If i have to replace the cable I will but hoping to find an alternative as a new one will probably break again in 2 years.

Can't post a pic as tinypic.com and postimage.org are blocked at work.

Call flow rite. Had same issue and they replaced for free due to being a manufacturer issue. All I did was text CS a pic of the broken area.

Call flowrite. More than likely they will replace it.

I was just being lazy and didn't want to bilge dive. Said the heck with it and pulled everything out. New parts on the way and will replace all pumps / cables while I'm in there.
