motor won't start after runs for 20 minutes

Only a two year old 178 Ranger. My Mercury 75 hp has failed to start (twice) after I run it down the lake for a while. It also died on me while running after I ran it for it for twenty minutes. It starts again after it sets for couple of hours. The trim switch on the throttle handle also don't work when the motor won't turn over, but the trim on the motor works. Battery is charged and terminals tight. Is there something that when it heats up it causes problems and when it cools everything works again? It's no fun to be towed in or troll in when the fish are biting.

Yes, it is a B instead of an 8, thanks. I didn't hold it far enough away to get an accurate reading.

I posted on the 4 stroke/verado forum as Silverfox suggested, got some get suggestions. My problem was two fold, my battery cable was not tightened down and my wiring harness was the problem. Thanks everyone, I am back on the water and don't fear being stranded on the lake again.

Got to add Joe54 too, he was first to suggest the 4-stroke forum. Happy to hear you're back on the water.

Really appreciate everyones help, I am fairly new to this forum but from what I have seen, everyone should appreciate Joe54. It's nice to know you can count on other fisherman to help in times of need. I also had two people who helped tow me in when I was stranded long a way from my ramp. I might not always catch fish but the fishing is good when you're surrounded by thoughtfulness.
