    Bearing Buddy

My '06 trailer was fine until last year. I started to get water intrusion in the UFP Gold Series oil bath hubs. I had the seals, ss wear rings, and the caps replaced. I also had work done to the brakes to get everything in good working order.

After using it for a couple of months this season I got water intrusion again. I changed the oil and made one trip to the lake and back without an issue, but if it happens again I am just going to change to grease.

One thing I haven't been able to find - if I put on Bearing Buddy grease protectors can I use the 19B bra or will it interfere with the Triton lug covers on the wheels?

    Thanks

I have a 2008 TR196 and switched to the standard grease bearings. I have the Bearing Buddy grease protectors with the cover but I have no idea if the number is 19B. What I have does not interfere with the lug covers but the center portion (which snaps in place) has to be removed to add grease. I removed the center portion on mine and left the lug cover outer portion in place.

Thanks. This is the standard 19B cover:

I know there is another one that is round metal. Not sure which one you have.

I used the UFP Trailer Buddy's with the metal protector caps when I converted mine to grease. I think this is what Cajun Pop is describing.

That is what I suspected. I would rather use the 19B since it does a better job as a seal. The parts that I ordered come with the 19B so I will try them. If there is interference I will switch.
