    Prop help

    I have a Triton 189trx (2016) with a Mercury 150FS, Tempest plus 21 Pitch. I only get about 50 mph. I raised the motor To a point where my rpms started climbing to 5900. I still have great water pressure. (I’m following what a friend had me do my previous 150 Opti, nor sure if it’s the same with FS since water pressure doesn’t seem to drop with the FS). The mercury prop selector says I could go to a Trophy Plus 4 blade and hit 60mph. Any thoughts?

    Which motor do you have a 150 Pro xs 4s with 2.08 gears or a regular 150 4s with 1.92 gears. Do you have a jack plate and was that 50 mph your top speed at 5900? If it is your slipping real bad now so you may be too high prop to pad.

    Ibelieve it’s the regular with 1.92. I gained a couple mph at the height I’m at. If I go higher rpms go up with no speed increase.
    yes I have a jack plate. (Z Lock Pro Hi Jacker)
