    1999 Mercury 300 Pro Max

Where is the serial number on this motor? I am trying to get a value on it to trade for a smaller motor. Bought a 99 Champion 202 fish and ski, and this is just too much motor for me. Also need to know what RPM max to run this motor, also best oil and additives. He said he always runs premium (stay with that?)IMG_20190612_201115.jpgIMG_20190612_200625.jpgIMG_20190612_200513.jpg

Well looking at my own pics I answered one question, 92 Octane. And looks to be a 1998 sold on a 1999 boat.

Race Models of that vintage usually had the number on the PORT side CLAMP BRACKET, and stamped into the block near the mating halves.
