    Ultrex GPS installation?

    2013 721xp

I'm about to wire the GPS puck for the Ultrex and was wondering where people are hooking it up to circuit wise?

    Thanks

I installed my antenna in the front and used a dual bus bar to connect a few things up to in the front so i didnt have to run the wiring all the way back to the console.

Is the puck just a heading sensor or does it use it also for the positioning for spot lock. I’m gonna upgrade soon and was thinking of mounting mine where the factory mounted the gps puck behind the drivers seat since I moved it back closer to the rear transducer.

My understanding is that the puck gives you extra accuracy for jog feature, Ultrex will spot lock perfect even without extra puck

It is a heading sensor only. I asked that question as well before mounting one behind the driver's seat. It is a good location, being far enough away from anything that could potentially interfere with the magnet, but also clse to the console for the power source.
