Any idea what the right wheel would be for a 98 300 PM on a 89 201?

I’d have to bring several props to try it’s an unknown setup.
26 tempest 27 Yamaha M for sure.

Pat,
Any idea how high, ptp wise, this combo would want to run?
That would depend on what lower unit you've got, and how much load you're packing.
I never tell anyone to set it *here*, always start here and let the boat tell you what it wants, setup is always take it too far and bring it back.

That would be Mr. Toad's Wild ride for sure.
I have never ran the 300 on a 201. Not really sure what kind of motor it is. Is it like smaller promax that wants to spin a zillion rpms or a grunt motor that uses torque?

Grunt motor. 3.0 liter. 6200 rpm.
Same motor was previously on a 98 202. Mid to low 80s ride loaded w 2. But he was using a Fury...which I dont feel is near being the right wheel.
As far as LU, it is a stock case w low water pickups. Had a TM, but it blew in 02 and motor sat from 02 till last summer.
Basically wondering it will want to run high (meaning possibly Bravo) or lower. 3 blade area.
I need 80 (2 guys, tourney load) on the button to outrun my buddy's 21xdc. That will send him over the edge...
1997 Champion 202 w/225 ProMax
I’m all in on this.
I’m thinking a 27 something like a worked tempest should get it done

Is the double post for emphasis, or do you want me to delete one (if you don't have the delete option)?
Sorry for that, what happens when I try to use the phone.
Delete.

Done....no apology needed. You should see the results when my laptop moves the cursor to parts unknown...while I am typing!!
Some things I do know...
The low water pickups are going to cost you a couple mph, you're going to run out of lift way before you run out of water pressure.
I'd be getting with Steve at Fork for the prop work, he does love to make champs run right with the tempest.
80 ready to fish should be pretty simple, we'll just keep throwing your money at it until it act right.

When you get done playing with it let me know I would love a ride. I always got gas money.
Mosher...if this deal works out...U can take it for a spin at the TOC!

I know one thing.
It would have a set of 200 decals before I got it wet.
