Help Removing Seat Decal Glue Residue

Does Anyone know the best way to remove the glue/residue left behind from old decals on the front of my seats without messing up the seats? See picture below. I may get some new decals soon but thought it would look better until then and probably need to be removed anyway for the new one to stick better. I tried some Goof Off but didn't want to scrub too hard.

Try WD 40. If it's soft should come off. If not try Acetone. Just don't get it on anything else and clean it off right away.

Just a heads up. The glue wasn't soft but I'd thought I try the WD 40 anyway. No success. I also tried to heat it up with a heat gun-no deal. That crap is pretty well established. I don't have any acetone but I may get some and give it a try. Thanks again SHG!

or you could have a decal sewn over the area if you cannot get the ring of glue to disappear. I would mask off the area around it so as not to ruin any other area. that goof off is nasty but works great. you may also reach out to your local upholstery shop and ask for suggestions

Thanks bwp777. I just looked up an upholstery shop in my area and I'm gonna go talk to them right now ...lol. It really doesn't need to bug me so much and I should just go fishin, but it is. I actually have some goof off that I reluctantly tried last night but that didn't work either.

In case anyone else out there is curious, I worked hard trying to get this stuff off and tried everything from WD40 to gas to Vinegar. Against better judgement I dabbed a little goo off pro stripper that I had sitting on my shelf (Image attached) and the residue started breaking apart so I kept going dabbing a little on with a Qtip and rubbed and rubbed a little section at a time as to not melt my seat. Long story short, here's a before and after and this is as far as I got because I didn't want to wear my seat out anymore. I gave up after about 2 hours...lol. If you're desperate like I was, try at your own risk. Thanks again everyone for the suggestions!!!!

In most cases gas on a clean soft cloth shoulda worked. We use it to clean glue of the new upholstery jobs. May would have to hold a rag with the gas on the area for a bit...protect with 303 afterwards.

Thanks man. I'm gonna try the gas again on the other seat. Admittedly, I didn't leave it on but a sec before. I wish it would work cuz i definately don't wanna go the goof off route again. Thanks for following up I'll give it another try.
