20 Hour oil change , first time

Okay guys changed my oil my 225 sho and says 7 .1 quarts I dumped 7 in and it took it up to almost the top of the second dot , ran it thinking so it gets in the oil filter and to see if any leaks ,no leaks but after a while of sitting checked again, in same spot 1/4 inch from the second dot where about is the level suppose to be, some where I seen suppose to between the dots half way .

Between the dots is where it is supposed to be. Usually 6.5 quarts will do the trick.
