    Hit a floater

Hey guys I hit a floater just as I got on pad with a 2017 175 Proxs. Left some marks on the lower unit but everything seemed fine even tho I idled the rest of the day lol after loading up I noticed the Speedo hole was full of wood, jam packed. This evening I took a small drill bit and dug by hand for a minute and couldn’t make any progress so I put the bit in a drill and easily played with it. My question is could I have hurt anything by doing that? Nothing but wood came out and I didn’t go more half an inch deep. Think it’s still full of wood by the way
